Multiverse Defenders is a 3D tower defense, user-generated game where you can collect a variety of characters from different anime and make them fight for you against hordes of enemies—flooding in to take your base in stage matches.

Not only that, but the game also allows you to play with your friends, participate in events, and evolve your favorite units for new skill effects and visuals!

In this guide, we will discuss everything you need to know about the game when it comes to getting new heroes and making them stronger, as well as some tips to help you along the way!

Multiverse Defenders: Basic Gameplay Mechanics

Listed below are all the basic gameplay mechanics that you’ll need to get a good grasp of first before going deep into Multiverse Defenders.

Summon

The main draw of Multiverse Defenders, like most Roblox games in this genre, is the ability to collect several of your favorite characters from anime like Dragon Ball, Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto.

You can do this by either going to the Summon building in the Main Lobby or just clicking the “Summon” button on the left side of your screen.

Here are the rates of pulling a unit depending on their rarity, as well as their “pity” amount, where they’re guaranteed to appear after a set amount of pulls:

Multiverse Defenders is a tower defense game, first and foremost, so it would help if you’re already familiar with TD mechanics before getting into the game.

It’s not that complicated, however, as here are the only controls and gameplay mechanics you need to keep in mind while playing:

Once you get a good understanding of the controls and mechanics mentioned above, you don’t really have to do anything else besides strengthening your units outside of TD battles to win.

Of course, picking the right units to invest your resources in is important as well, which is why visiting our Multiverse Defenders Tier List for unit recommendations is a must for beginners!

TIP: For TD battles, making sure that you have enough currency to place and upgrade units is important. This is why bringing along the best Money unit you have is crucial if you want to win more games in Multiverse Defenders.

Leveling Up Units

Another important mechanic to take note of is the Fusion system, which allows you to level up units by feeding them other units that you don’t need.

For example, if you want to level up a Mythic unit, you can just go to your “Units” page and click “Fuse” on that unit, then select the units you want to use as fodder—preferably Common and Rare units.

You can even use Epic or Legendary units as Fusion materials, just as long as you’re confident that you won’t use them at all, since using a unit as fodder for Fusion means that you’ll lose them forever!

Evolution & Star Upgrade

If you want to strengthen your units further, you can Evolve a unit by feeding them materials that can be obtained via crafting. This increases their overall performance in TD battles and gives them improved skill effects.

You can obtain the materials required for Evolutions by crafting them. You can then craft these materials with different types of Crystals, which you get by farming stages, claiming event rewards, or buying them from the Shop.

If you have multiple duplicate copies of a favorite Mythic unit, then doing Star Upgrades on them might be a good idea. Upgrading a unit’s star level increases their stats, making them a better defender during TD battles.

Do keep in mind that Star Upgrades are quite costly and can drain your Diamonds fast, so only do this once you’ve obtained one copy of all the Mythic units you want for your account!

Conclusion

All in all, Multiverse Defenders is an excellent tower defense game for players who are new to the genre, but you do have to take note of the things mentioned in this guide if you want to get better at it.
